Freedom as I see it.

As bodies humans do not have any significant value; even more, the value of human bodies to the world is negative, because humans waste the energy, pollute enormously the environment and breach natural order of feeding chain. From other side, as only one known species on the Earth developed self-conciousness of a protein, and started to understand the world surrounding. The goal remains unknown, but the few thousand years old process is a prove, that thoughts is the value added to the protein - of a civilization, a community and a single human. Furthermore, thoughts seem to be only "something", that lasts for years and ages, as long as there's one living brain.
The nature and civilization did mess with bodies and minds they carry. First of all, humans bodies suffer from results of verticulization, development of prehensile hand, growth of a brain, development of tools and means of communication, the extension of humans life length. From other side, there's prompt development of "software" behind brain processes, that causes mental problems, depressions, errors and autoaggression. Having as third component social rules and the "value" of nice body, both for the society and as a natural matching factor, we may see the whole jigsaw: an average human has a real problem with a body. Partially it's real problem - the body must be fed, it becomes ill, it must sleep, it needs maintenance, it dies. But, there's as well the problem with the body related to the social circumstances. As far as it has nothing with natural matching mechanism, it is simple bullshit. Very hard to neglect, it remains enslavement for societes, so strong, that fighting with this might be more enslaving. At the moment, for those who feel addicted to the body perspective of a human, the conciousness of this enslavement would be a great step to lose this stupid relationship.

evaluation of other humans |
Humans do evaluate other humans. Probably its nothing wrong, as far as it ends with conclusion "he's ok for me", "I don't like her". But it would become an agreesion, if one human says something like "you're stupid". Even if the subject is s t u p i d in universal meaning, such message is pure nonsense. Literally it means "I want you to know I consider you a fool". What then could be the expected result of agressor's statement? Aggression? Change? Elimination? Acceptance of superiority of the aggressor?
When humans evaluate things, it's much more simpler. "I like fire, because it is warm. I don't like it, it may burn". Humans do evaluate properties of the fire, without emotions, and according to the evaluation accept or avoid it.
The reason for expressing wrong opinions about other humans is a need of positioning in relation to others; better positioning of course. But this is only a part of a problem. Accepting other humans' evaluations might become stoning to death. Remember a grotesque of a burgher? A narrow-minded boor, closed in the world of conformity, fear and inferiority complex? Isn't he a slave? |

As Europe, both Americas, Australia and Far East are proud of modern, "civilized" law system, that has evolved mainly from ancient Rome, something important was forgotten. Every time humankind is frightened by bloody murder or rape on youngster, people start to think "the law should be much more serious" or, straight spoken, "kill the offender". The Law Authorities say every time the same folk, that the intention of a penalty is rehabilitation and taking back the criminal to the society. They talk about different functions of a penalty, they call research findings or civilization. But there's as well another point of view, related to freedom of a society. If we agree, that free (democratic) society has common understanding of basic Rules, they should have as well the right, to eliminate of wrong individuals. Whether isolation, deportation or capital punishment - all these penalties might play the forgotten role of elimination. The problem of a freedom is, that an individual or society couldn't think about that without unnecessary emotions, but the solution is very simple: somebody, who is raping a child, is ill, and no one can guarantee that this illness could be healed. Yet another chance for somone, who was so lucky to be born, alive, educate would violate the right of the society to feel safe; safety is a prerequisite for being free. |

Every human has the long-term memory. Its part, responsible for retrieving reminescents about other humans, just for pleasure, seems to be most interesting.
Think about your own. Maybe this is a first loved partner seen at the distant window whilst you leave; or perfect body at the seashore; exploding upsurge at the train station; magic walk in the woods full of sun and soft colours and so on.
It's nothing odd, the memories humans recreate sometimes in their brains are mostly neat, pleasant and related to love, enchantment, calmness, warmth, pureness, peace. Even more, memories become better and better all the time, while brain flushes away all bad events and facts.
Humans dislike memories of their closest relatives. They are not shared even, though it might be one of best to enrich second person. Why? Because of wrong understanding the problem. Partners in love are jealous not of each other's past, but of possible past, forgetting that current relationship is the result of only one - "past", that is current "present" and only from other pasts - that has a chance for the future. Are those reminescents enslaving or is it just longing for good or idealized time, for moments of pure freedom? Not. What could enslave you, is thinking about possible pasts. Realizing it would be a total crash. |

creativeness and homeosthasis |
Human is Earth's most developed and succesful form of protein. I hope. The biggest surprise is, that both particular entities and societes are organized far from perfection, though perfect models are at fingertips. As biological mass, some time ago humankind started to create societes; its behaviour is very similar to lower levels of proteins organization. There are cells (particular humans), tissues (distinguishable groups of humans of particular purpose and behaviour), organisms of different evolution levels (societes, states).
There are many the same attributes both at cell and "organism" level: feeding, reproducting, evolution, synergy, communicating, reciprocal supporting, specializing, self-sustaining, repairing, dying-by-design. But if we consider the quality of both structures' organization, we'll see how poor humans are organized. It's not bad, as far as we consider the freedom aspect.
During its life, a human behaves like a cell in homeosthasis, that means keeping a balanced state within the environment. Both physically and mentally there are barriers and selective interfaces as well.
Physical unbalancing like hunger, illness, feeding, cold, ache, physical accident, birth...all those are well known. Nothing to mention, these we have by-design as far, as we are mammals.
Mental unbalance is much more creative for the mind. Every time humans loose their mental balance, a change will occur. The more serious unbalance is, the greater change might be. The mind tries to avoid the unbalanced state however, just like the cell tries to stay in homeosthasis. Understanding that play is vital for being creative, happy and aware of the world. Health and well being depends on balanced state of body and mind, while creativeness will explode always, when a human loses his reason.
Stop reading, think a moment about your most creative works, then try to remind the real source of ingeniousness of few, particular results. Nope? Don't be so modest. That all was created by your mind as a thought and then designed and implemented consistently.
The real creators are those, who found the way to free the mind that way. Most of them don't understand however the nature of this phenomoenon, but probably nobody cares. Hidden dimension of the freedom, indeed. |
